Troop 111

 

 

This Post has sponsored  Boy Scout Troop 111 since 1995.  Support for the Boy Scout movement came at the American Legion’s Convention in 1919.  Today, there are more than 2,500 Boy Scout units sponsored by Legion Posts throughout the country. Supporting their activities is natural for Legionnaires, who bring their skills and experiences as veterans to bear to help build character and positive traits in “Young America”.  Few other Post activities generate more goodwill from the community.

 

Each Post is encouraged to nominate a local Eagle Scout for The American Legion’s Eagle Scout of the Year award and a $10,000 college scholarship and three runners-up receive scholarships of $2,500 each.  Applications can be provided.

 

The Troop Leader currently is Zack Koonce.  They meet regularly in the Legionground facilities. Listed below are prior Eagle Scouts honored:
