Jones County Veterans Memorial

This monument was dedicated on October 30, 2005 in front of the Jones County Civic Center on Hwy 58 S of Trenton in honor of deceased veterans who were inducted or joined the military services from Jones County and were killed or died from enemy action during wartime in WW I, WW II, Korea, Vietnam, or the Persian Gulf.  The Clen Newton Smith Post 154 of the American Legion in Trenton sponsored this endeavor.  A list of the contributors for this project is placed inside the Civic Center.  You may view the Honor Roll of the 35 veterans that are inscribed on the three tablets. It is handicap accessible. This monument was designed by Frank Harriett.
